Masters Project Consultant

• Co-designed a three-part strategy for the client’s Education team and One Water Initiative to improve the impact of climate education resources for New York City educators for my final master’s project.
• Designed and conducted a utilization-focused and participatory program evaluation, consisting of a Qualtrics survey and a workshop, and drafted marketing materials to recruit survey and workshop participants.
• Designed and co-facilitated a 90-minute workshop with 45 local educators at the NYC Department of Education’s Winter Climate Institute, informing them about the project and obtaining feedback.
• Researched and applied a place-based pedagogy to support project team members in developing 10 locally relevant climate change lesson plans and 3 in-school Climate Action Day challenges.

Communications Studio Consultant

• Implemented an inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogy to help students strengthen their communications skills, without imposing an external editorial voice.
• Consulted student peers on academic, professional, and personal assignments, including memos, essays, presentations, infographics, cover letters, and StoryMaps.
• Presented workshops to graduate and undergrad students on writing effective cover letters and memos.

Stanback Government Affairs Fellow

• Convened directly with members of Congress and their offices during LCV’s annual fly-in to garner their support for pro-environment and pro-democracy regulations, bills, and Dear Colleagues letters.
• Coordinated strategy with environmental advocacy and policy leaders on coalition meetings focused on clean water, methane emissions, PFAS pollution, nutrient pollution, conservation, and the Farm Bill.
• Delivered verbal and written public comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on two separate occasions for the proposed coal ash rule and clean power plants rule.
• Researched and presented analyses of environmental policy issues, including a policy advocacy plan for protecting clean water in light of the Sackett vs. EPA Supreme Court decision.

Freelance Global Climate Communications Consultant   

• Consulted the Environmental Defense Fund’s Global Climate Team to develop a wide variety of content, including press releases and blog posts on international climate policy and nature-based solutions.
• Copyedited major climate publications, including the Carbon Credit Quality Initiative’s (CCQI) 120-page carbon credit integrity evaluation methodology.
• Covered virtual EDF-sponsored events at NYC Climate Week, coordinating with staff; writing summaries, analyses, and media copy; and developing social media and blog content.

Marketing Associate II  

• Executed digital marketing and advertising campaigns for the scientific journal, Science.
• Developed email campaigns from start to finish: copywriting, designing, deploying, and reporting.
• Led marketing analytics efforts, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), maintaining a comprehensive metrics dashboard in Adobe Analytics, and reporting insights to colleagues and leadership.
